About New Link Express
Family-owned trucking from East Tennessee — built for the long haul.
Our story
New Link Express, LLC was founded by Dan Scott to bring real, asset-based trucking back to the Tennessee Valley's recycling and manufacturing customers. Dan's family has been in scrap recycling and industrial logistics in East Tennessee for decades — NLE is the dedicated motor-carrier arm that grew out of needing a truck that always shows up.
We're small on purpose. One truck today, more in the pipeline. Every load gets attention from the dispatcher who quoted it, the driver who's running it, and the owner who's signed off on the rate. There's no call center, no offshore brokerage, no bait-and-switch.

What we believe
- Show up. The most-valuable thing a carrier does is be where it said it'd be, when it said it'd be there. That's the whole job.
- Be honest about rates. If a lane costs $X, we'll tell you. If detention starts after Y minutes, you'll know before the truck rolls.
- Keep records. Every BOL, every signature, every odometer reading and DVIR. DOT walks in, we hand them what they want in five minutes.
- Treat drivers right. Late-model trucks. Fair pay. Home most nights. Real PM scheduling so they're never stuck on a deadhead with bad brakes.
Compliance + safety
We run a modern fleet management system in-house — the same software you'd see at a bigger operation. Every driver does a daily pre-trip and post-trip DVIR. PM intervals are tracked and enforced. Fuel is logged with state breakdown for IFTA. Insurance is always current and exceeds federal minimums.
- FMCSA-licensed motor carrier (USDOT # / MC # — pending finalization)
- Cargo insurance + auto liability above federal minimums
- EPA-compliant emissions, late-model Class-8 tractor
- Drug + alcohol testing program with a third-party consortium
Where we're going
NLE is built to grow. The dispatch and compliance system was engineered for a multi-truck fleet from day one — adding new tractors, drivers, and lanes is a matter of hiring, not rebuilding. If you've got a recurring lane that needs a dedicated carrier, we'd like to talk.
